Our desiccated liver is vacuum dried at very low temperatures.

Is there any fat in the Perfect Desiccated Liver?
Our Perfect Desiccated Liver has just one ingredient - undefatted beef liver. We take the beef liver from grass-fed cows and dry it into a powder. Liver does have some fat and saturated fat in general. The vast majority of the fats present in Perfect Desiccated Liver will come from fats within the beef liver.

How much fresh liver is the equivalent to a serving of Perfect Desiccated Liver?
During the liver drying process, 1 oz of fresh liver dried to the equivalent of 7 grams of powder. One serving (4 capsules a day) will equal roughly 3 oz of fresh grass-fed beef liver a week.

How much Vitamin A is in Perfect Desiccated Liver? Can you take it on a daily basis?
Taking 4 capsules of Perfect Desiccated Liver every day has the same amount of nutrition as eating 3 ounces of beef liver a week. Liver is high in Vitamin A, but in general, taking 4 capsules a day will not give people an overdose of Vitamin A.

Does Perfect Desiccated Liver contain tryptophan?
Yes, Perfect Desiccated Liver does contain tryptophan, as liver is a complete protein. We do not remove anything from the liver when we gently process it into a powder.
