Emu Oil Softgels (Vitamin K2) – Grass Fed

Introducing our fresh, grass-fed Emu Oil softgels. Sustainably sourced from robust emus that happily graze on the grassy pastures of Southeast Australia.

This traditional fat from the Heritage-bred emu bird has a synergistic combination of unadulterated, natural nutrients — especially vitamin K2 (MK-4).

Smidge gently crafts their oil (more below) to retain all of its rich nutrients and cofactors, including omega fatty acids 3,6,7 and 9. To support collagen production, skin and bone health, and more.*

Each serving contains 1,500 mg of 100% pure Smidge® Emu Oil, including 6.4 mcg of vitamin K2 (MK-4). The best part, it doesn’t require conversion like other forms of vitamin K (like MK-7, the plant form), so your body can readily use and absorb it.*

And you won’t find fillers, additives, or common allergens. Please note that the nutrient information on our label will vary slightly from batch to batch, as this is a real food supplement and regular testing reflects nature’s ebbs and flows.

Plus, these softgels are easy on the stomach, with no burping or aftertaste. And they’re fantastic for travel, as they don’t require refrigeration.

Crafted according to nourishing tradition

The emu is a grandiose, flightless bird native to Australia that has survived between 60 and 100 million years! Smidge renders the Emu Oil from the bird’s fat, which stores nutrition and energy for when it’s needed most: during drought, famine and reproduction phases.

The oil is rendered promptly at a gentle, low temperature to retain all of its nutritional properties (other brands may remove the fat and freeze it for rendering at a later point).

This efficient and advanced method preserves the integrity and yields the highest quality Emu Oil.

And, Smidge maintains quality and control over the entire process, from rendering to crafting and bottling the oil in fresh, small batches.

This is all reflected in the natural vitamin K2 (MK-4) and the naturally-occurring cofactors listed above.

The most bioavailable and absorbable form of vitamin K

Smidge® Emu Oil provides the most bioavailable and absorbable form of vitamin K, which is MK-4, the last stop after your body converts real food vitamin K2.

This is because your biochemistry converts all forms of vitamin K — including vitamins K1 and K2 (MK-7) — to MK-4. And the other forms of vitamin K have a low conversion rate, depending on the health of your gut microbiome and gut flora. For instance, only 20% of vitamin K1 is absorbed, and its conversion rate ranges from 5% to 25%.*

Smidge Emu Oil doesn’t require conversion for you to get the most out of the vitamin K2. You also won’t find it at your local health food store. It’s that precious.*

Who should consider adding Emu Oil to their supplement routine?

Here are some examples of our customers who take Smidge® Emu Oil:

  • Those seeking to support their health with a real food, unadulterated source of vitamin K2, including its naturally occurring cofactors.
  • Folks wanting more vitamin K2 than butter oil; Smidge® Emu Oil contains at least five times more vitamin K2 than butter oil.*

  • Families who aim to keep their oral microbiome in balance and want support remineralizing their teeth and overall dental health.*
